Cycle-Synced Medication Reminders
Reminders that move with your cycle - not the calendar.

Femora's cycle-synced medication reminders anchor a dose to your predicted period (for example, 'from 9 days before my period until day 2') instead of a fixed date, so the timing shifts automatically each cycle. You can set a single dose or a daily window, and the app recalculates the dates from your prediction every month.
Some medications only work when the timing lines up with your cycle - PMS relief that should start before your period, fertility support timed to ovulation, cyclical HRT each month. But your cycle does not run on the calendar, so fixed reminders slowly drift out of sync. Cycle-synced reminders fix that: you set the schedule relative to your period once, and Femora keeps it accurate. No major period app ships this.
The 30-second version
- Anchor a dose to your period, not a fixed calendar date
- Single dose or a daily window, set with two simple offsets
- A live Next window banner shows your upcoming dose in advance
- Falls back to your average cycle length when no prediction exists yet
- Included free with Femora - no separate purchase
How the timing works
You set the schedule with two points, both measured in days relative to the first day of your period: when the reminder starts and when it ends. If the start and end are the same day, you get a single dose. If the end is later, you get a daily reminder across the whole window. Each cycle, the app recalculates both dates from your latest prediction.

See your next dose before it happens
Once saved, the medication detail screen shows a live Next window banner - 'Next dose: Jul 7' for a single dose, or a date range with how soon it starts for a window. Mark a dose taken with one tap and Femora keeps your history, adherence, and streak.

Built for cycle-timed regimens
Cycle-synced timing is useful any time a medication tracks your cycle rather than the calendar. Starter templates make complex regimens one-tap to set up.
- PMS and PMDD - luteal-phase relief that starts before your period
- Menstrual migraine - short courses timed to the pre-period estrogen drop
- Fertility and IVF/IUI - trigger shots and luteal progesterone support
- Cyclical HRT - monthly progestogen courses
Frequently asked questions
What are cycle-synced medication reminders?
They are reminders anchored to your predicted period instead of a fixed calendar date, so the timing shifts automatically each cycle. You set the schedule relative to your period (for example, 9 days before until day 2) and Femora recalculates the dates every month.
What happens if my cycle is irregular or I haven't logged a period?
If you have not logged a period, Femora asks you to log one first. If you have logged periods but no prediction yet, it estimates from your last period plus your average cycle length, and each new period you log realigns future reminders.
Is this feature free?
Yes. Cycle-synced medication reminders are part of Femora, alongside refill alerts, side-effect logging, and pause mode - there is no separate purchase.
