How do I set up cycle-synced medication reminders?
Bottom lineTo set up a cycle-synced reminder in Femora, add a medication, choose 'Synced with my cycle' under 'When will you take this?', set the Starts and Ends offsets relative to your period (turn on the single-dose toggle for one reminder per cycle), pick a time, and save; the app then shows your next dose and recalculates the dates each cycle.
In Femora you can set a medication reminder that follows your cycle instead of fixed dates. Here is how.
Step by step
- Open the medication editor and add a medication - choose the type (pill, patch, ring, IUD, shot, or other), then enter the name and dosage.
- Under "When will you take this?", choose Synced with my cycle. The app describes it in plain language, like "From 9 days before your period until day 2."
- Set the Starts offset (when the window begins, relative to your period) and the Ends offset (when it stops).
- Turn on the single-dose toggle if you only want one reminder per cycle; leave it off for a daily reminder across the window.
- Pick the time of day, add a refill alert if you want one, and save.
What you'll see next
The medication detail screen shows a Next window banner with your upcoming dose or date range, so you always know what is coming. When a dose is due, mark it taken with one tap and the app keeps your history, adherence, and streak.
If you haven't logged a period yet
Cycle-synced reminders need a period prediction to work. If you have not logged a period, the app will prompt you to log one first. If you have logged periods, it estimates from your average cycle length until a prediction is available.
